Year 3 are very excited to be starting their recently updated summer term curriculum!
This term, we are learning:
English - Texts include the Egyptian Cinderella, Stone Girl Bone Girl and I Talk Like a River. We will also be writing a biography of Mary Anning, instructions for mummification and a chronological report about Ancient Egypt!
Maths - Money, Time, Stats and Shape.
Geography - 'Are all settlements the same?' Focussing on the settlements and land use of the local area and comparing this to New Delhi.
History - 'What was important to the Ancient Egyptians?'
DT - Cooking and nutrition: Eating Seasonally and Structures: Product Packaging.
Art - Craft and design: Ancient Egyptian scrolls
Science - Light and Shadow and Making connections: Does handspan affect grip strength?
This term we also have Bell Boating coming up early on as well as a class assembly towards the end of the year. We look forward to seeing you there!
