Year 3 - Chestnut Class

Hello and a warm welcome to Year 3 at Ombersley First School!

 

The Year 3 team consists of:

Mr Warren - Class teacher

We aim to ensure that all children experience a smooth and seamless transition from year 2 into year 3 to start their Key Stage 2 journey, thereby building on the foundations that the National Curriculum depends on.

Maths
  • In year 3, we follow the White Rose scheme of learning. 
  • We also do a Mastering Number starter every day which helps with our fluency.

Writing
  • In year 3, we follow the I Am a Clever Writer scheme of learning. 
  • We also do spelling tests weekly which children will come home with at the start of each half term.

  • We use Get Set 4 PE for our lessons in PE. 
  • We also have specialist coaches in to support us in our learning.
