Here at Ombersley Endowed First School we are committed to ensuring that your child makes the very best start to their Reception year. We believe your child is beautifully unique and want to cherish that, knowing their first step into full-time schooling is a time to create the most wonderful memories.
It can be tricky to know how to prepare your child to start Reception. There are a myriad of websites, social media posts and other factors which can make it confusing to know what to do for best. And yet, preparing your child to start Reception is important and we know, you want to get it right.
So, we are helping you.
We know every child is different. Every child develops differently and some children settle into full-time schooling with ease, whilst others need a little more help. We are right beside you - here to help.
We are saying yes to implementing the national ‘Starting Reception’ document and ethos with you. Yes to helping you to understand how to get your child ready for their memorable first day at ‘big school.’
You will hear more about Starting Reception’ at our welcome meeting and throughout the school year. As always, we are at the end of the phone or ready to reply to emails with any personal queries. Our togetherness is your child’s strength.
