RE Celebrations

On Thursday afternoon we finished our RE topic Celebrations with a Celebration! We had been finding out about how different religions celebrate their festivals so we planned our own – we decided what food to have and what activities we would like. After a lovely feast we had a toast for our school and then we went outside to play parachute games. We had to hold on tight though as it was a bit windy!

Easter Celebrations

We had a very exciting end of term at Ombersley. On Tuesday The Friends put on an Easter Egg hunt for us. Then on the last day we all wore our Easter Bonnets and Easter Hats and went down to Ombersley Church for our Easter Service. As usual, it was wonderful and we were all very proud of the children’s performances ~ Year 1 sang ‘The Seed Song’ beautifully.

Take a look at the photographs, we all looked Absolutely Fabulous….

We hope you all have a Very Happy Easter, enjoy a good rest over the holidays ~ the children all definately deserve one, they have all worked extremely hard this term!

We look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday 9th April for an exciting new term with a brand new topic.

January 2013

We began our Journeys topic with a Surprise visitor, who arrived with a suitcase.

Church Visit

In R.E. we have been learning about ‘Special places’. On Thursday we visited St. Andrews Church in Ombersley. Canon Kerr told us about the church, dressed up in his special robes and even got Mrs. Hooper to dress up! And he let us sit at the organ ~ how cool is he?!  We then did some drawings of our favourite part of the church…
