Hartlebury Museum

As part of our WW1 topic we visited Hartlebury Museum to find out about the soldiers during WW1. We walked around Hartlebury Castle, we had a minutes silence in the chapel which had remembrance poppies and some ‘there but not there’ soldiers. We liked dressing up as the nurses and convalescing soldiers and played games in the ‘Voluntary Aid Detachment’ exhibition. museum. We also pretended we were school children during WW1.

After lunch we found out about the history of Hartlebury Castle as a a VAD and all about the life of a soldier during WW1. We sketched some of the artefacts we had looked at. We really enjoyed the day.
