Ombersley Endowed First School Nursery

30 Funded Hours

From September 2017, we will have places for the new 30 funded hours. If your son or daughter is due to start Nursery in September and will be turning 3 before 31 August 2017, you will need to apply now to HMRC to get an 11 digit code. You will then need to complete a form, available from the Nursery office. If we do not receive that code before your child starts in September, you will be unable to access the 15 ‘additional hours’ until the following term. If you need further information, please contact Clare Smith, 01905 620384 or pop down to the Nursery office.

Please have a look at our Nursery activity page where you can catch up with some of the things we have been doing in our fantastic log cabin.

The Ombersley Endowed First School Nursery was officially opened by Mr David Linney, a trustee from The Lloyd’s Educational Foundation on the 27th September 2013.

In a picturesque rural setting, Ombersley Endowed First School (judged Good with Outstanding features by Ofsted in 2015) now offers All-day Nursery provision in a wonderful purpose-designed log cabin – The Tree House – which was built with a generous government grant and through public donation to provide Early Years care for children of the community.

04264_OEFS-550logcabinChildren at Ombersley Endowed First School Nursery – our Little Acorns – will benefit from all of the school’s amenities and facilities (including Forest School woodland, a purpose-designed Early Years play area, and hot lunches if required) whilst being cosily housed in the secure and nurturing environment of their own, natural wood, log cabin. The Tree House is staffed by qualified Nursery Staff who will ensure that children are cared for and encouraged and that their days are filled with enjoyment and learning through play.

Little Acorns will have the opportunity to move seamlessly into Early Years Education in Oak Class (our Reception Class) at Ombersley Endowed First School if they wish.

The Nursery is open to children from age 2 years 9 months to school age, 3-year-olds can claim 15 government-funded hours per week.

Nursery hours are from 8.45am to 3pm term time (2 half-day sessions) at a cost of £4.50 per hour. Hot lunches are available at extra cost if required.
